Getting some(hopefully excellent) quality pork pies from some local suppliers to sample.
If you really like pork pies and want to be on the tasting panel let me know.
Tasting should be the end of this week or next week.
Also if you know of any really good local pork pies we should include let me know.
Not definite that we will stock any - but at the least a good excuse to eat some :)

The tasting panel tried 4 pork pies:

Chunk of Devon
Bridport Gourmet Pies
Bartletts on Green St
Hartley Farm, Winsley

The most poular was Hartley Farm's pies. Made from their own Gloucester Old Spot in Winsley. They were very tasty with great pastry. Only negative was that they were maybe a bit salty - but that may not be bad with beer.
